My Style & Personality
- I believe in being direct and honest: I don’t sugarcoat feedback. I prioritize clarity over comfort because it leads to faster, better outcomes.
- I have “squirrel brain” moments: I’m easily distracted, so I need structured, uninterrupted blocks of work time. Protecting my focus is essential.
- I’m an INFJ-T: I’m empathetic and value harmony, but I also hold strong opinions. Expect me to challenge ideas and push for clarity. That said, I don’t expect anyone to figure me out—I’d rather we just do great work together.
- I can let non-critical tasks fall off: If it’s not a priority, I might drop it. Don’t be afraid to bring it back up.
What I Value
- Brevity & solutions: Keep your updates concise and bring potential solutions, not just problems.
- Resourcefulness: We jokingly call ourselves “information stalkers.” If you don’t know the answer, dig until you find it (without being creepy, of course).
- Deep product & customer expertise: Go deeper than me so that, over time, you can answer questions and solve problems even better than I can. Don’t wait for someone else to hand you the knowledge.
- Collaboration in public: I prefer posting solutions in open channels (e.g., public Slack) so the entire team learns, not just one person.
Communication Preferences
- Slack first: I rarely use email internally. Give me daily/weekly async updates on what I need to know, and keep it concise.
- Pick up the phone: If I’m free, I’ll answer. Sometimes a quick call is the best way to clarify things.
- Structured written updates: Bullet points or quick checklists help me stay organized and on track.
Positives of Working With Me
- I encourage ownership: I want you to push yourself, learn the product and our customers in-depth, and find solutions independently.
- I move fast: You won’t be left waiting if something is urgent.
- I welcome strong opinions: As long as they’re rooted in logic and respect, bring them on. Maturity and open-mindedness are key.
Challenges of Working With Me
- I can come across as abrupt: My direct style can feel intense if you’re not used to it. It’s never personal—it’s about getting to the best outcome quickly.
